FOR PROBLEM BIRDS OR SQUIRREL TROUBLE:
Offer straight Safflower. Squirrels do not like the bitter taste of Safflower.
Most Blackbirds will not eat this seed either, except for the Red-winged Blackbirds.
The birds that truly love Safflower seeds are Cardinals, House Finch,
Carolina Chickadees and Doves.

FRUIT & MEALWORMS!

Many of our birds are not normally seed eaters.

Bluebirds and Wrens would prefer mealworms. Often during winter months they will also
eat Sunflower Chips and Suet.
Northern Mockingbirds will eat mealworms, fresh fruits, dried fruits and even pieces of nuts.
Robins are fans of mealworms and dried fruits(especially dried cherries and blueberries).
