Your White Crowned Sparrows should be on the ground in your back yard. Their melodious song is unmistakable.
The Northern Flicker is making his appearance more often.
Cedar Waxwings are in town so look up and see the most interesting looking bird Fresno has. You will see them in flocks of about 20 or so in fruit trees and berry producing plants. They wisper their song so keep your eyes peeled and ears perky.
Ruby-crowned Kinglets too are abundant right now. these are the yellowish bird stealing a sip from your hummingbird feeders.
The Oregon Race Dark-eyed Junco's are here as well. These are the small black hooded birds on the ground under your feeders. Really cute!
We had a beautiful Yellow Warbler in our backyard this week.
Keep your eyes and ears open. The Fall Migration is starting a full swing early.
