Are your hummngbird feeders full?

Keep those hummingbird feeders full! August will be THE month for hummingbirds here in our area. If you became frustrated during the summer and took your feeders down, consider putting them back up for the last part of the season. Babies are out of the nests and mom and dad and babies are sucking down nectar in anticipation of their southern journey. You may be very surprised by the visits you get! Then don't be quick to take the feeders down. You can not harm a hummer by leaving the feeders up through September. You may even help the later migrants as they head south.

BIRD BATHS

Keep our baths clean and if you can, get the water moving. This keeps down the chances of mosquitoes breeding in standing water. Your birds (and other backyard friends) will find fresh clean water very enticing!!
