Join us every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month for a leisurely stroll around a neighborhood park. These walks are designed to make every birder feel welcome. The novice is sure to learn a lot and the more experienced among us will enjoy the opportunity of sharpening their skills

SPECIAL BIRD WALK TO HAWK MOUNTAIN PA!

Sept 21st

Plese join us as we travel NORTH for a trip to a Migration HOT SPOT. Hawk Mountain is part of a ridge of mountains in Pennsylvania that is used by many raptors for migration. They travel during the day and use the thermals created by the mountain ranges for lift. All you have to do is sit on the side of the mountain and look up! (Of course, you do have to climb the mountain and though the path is good it is a hike.)

We will leave at 7 am from the store and I expect to be back by 5ish. We will REALLY need you to call ahead and sign up so we can figure out how to get North. If we get enough, we can rent a van and all go together. In any case, we will need to ask for $20 a head to cove the cost ot gas. Bring a lunch as well since we will be sitting on the mountain right through lunch time.
