The Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology is a nonprofit membership institution whose mission is to interpret and conserve the earth's biological diversity through research, education, and citizen science focused on birds. Each year, nearly 100,000 people visit the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, in the Johnson Center for Birds and Biodiversity, located in beautiful Sapsucker Woods Sanctuary, Ithaca, New York. More than four miles of trails wind through a variety of habitats used by birds and other wildlife.
